After our first initial meeting, I knew Brenda was the Advocate who could help me with decisions for a well-run Personal Care Home (PCH) for my husband with Alzheimer She was right on target! Brenda recommended and set up an interview for a temporary Caregiver/Hospice agency - they were wonderful. After we placed my husband in the PCH, she helped me to find (close by to my husband) an Independent Living Senior Community and recommendation to help with the move. Brenda is not just an Advocate, she is my dear friend who I can call anytime and she will answer or return the call. The Next Horizon has been a God-sent to my family regarding our mother's health care from Assisting Living care to Memory care (new community). We have had nothing but family issues and to the point our mother and siblings were wearing out the Caregivers and Medical team members with so many issues. With Brenda and her wonderful VA team, they suggested updating mother's Will (out-dated), Power of Attorney (medical/financial), Irrevocable Trust, and Guardianship. Mother received (thanks to Brenda and her team) a small VA stipend which helped with her level of care in Memory Care. We had so many "bills" and issues as many were not properly documented and coded by the medical agency and, again, Brenda worked with everyone and Medicare - and corrected/re-submitted and we were not liable for payment to the help of Brenda and working with the Medicare system. Mother, finally, is at a "happy" place in her stage of memory care and again, Brenda stepped in and did all the legwork, setting up appointments for tours with her recommendations of the "best" memory community that met our mother's care. My family and I cannot say enough about Brenda and her team. We "highly" recommend The Next Horizon.

The Next Horizon (Brenda Dever-Armstrong) was referred to our family by the Director of a Behavioral Hospital in helping our family to find the right senior community and medical care for our father. After a thorough evaluation, we hired Brenda to do the legwork, research, recommend the best resources and services. Brenda made several trips to visit our father going through an evaluation before being released from the hospital and took our family to tour several SR communities she recommended that met our father's needs. We cannot say enough about Brenda's knowledge of the Aid & Attendance program (father retired military, Korean War), educating our family about Independent Living vs Assisted Living.
